A residency certificate ensures you are registered as a resident in Spain. This document is issued at the foreigners' office or at the appropriate national police station, depending on where you live.
It is necessary to bring some documents in order to obtain the certificate, such as:
- NIE - taxpayer number in spain
- Form S1 with proof of health insurance
- Confirmation of payment for residence at the bank
- The completed residence registration form
- Passport
- Proof of income
You will need to demonstrate that you are financially stable. Through the demonstration of bank statements that cover the previous three months and that your monthly income is above 800 euros per individual.
